You're referring to my time spent at home with humans? I'm not certain I would qualify that as "a lot", given the short timeframe that I was online back in Detroit, and I wasn't exactly built to be a medical assistant of any sort.
[That being said-]
However, I am a learning machine. And my designation as a crime scene investigator does mean that I possess a baseline understanding of human anatomy as it applies to [MURDER] what I usually see.
So, yes, I can still try to help you. What do you need to know?
[ Miraculously, 9S bites back an eurgh. Don't use that word regarding yourself, Connor!!
But rather than go off on a tangent: ]
Well, you're still gonna know more than I do. I was just looking for advice, actually—y'know, with everyone falling ill all of a sudden. What have you been doing?
I've been trying to pin down those who are more stubborn than they realize; the sort that keep wandering around outside of the Temple, despite a burgeoning fever. Beyond that, it's often a matter of just doing what you can to keep them comfortable. Tea for a sore throat, soup for comfort. There's... not much to be done about actually quelling the sickness, as far as I've seen.
We just have to hope that their immune systems can handle the burden. And that Astoria is continually working to find a cure.
There’s still much about the Temple we don’t understand. Maybe there’s potential for something here, something we can use. But that takes time and exploration. And there are so few of us who are unaffected by the sickness...
Someday, maybe, if a cure is found and things return to normal, we should do a little more thorough investigation. I still wonder about the forest surrounding us.
[ Logically, he knows this—especially as a reconnaissance unit, 9S understands these sorts of things don't turn up overnight. Despite this, he's certainly grown restless, so needless to say he's just a little fussy...
9S slips out a resigned sigh. ]
Yeah, me too, even if there doesn't seem to be much out there... There's not a whole lot to do around here besides taking a long walk through the place.
There might not be anything. But the chances that there might be something of interest is just as likely. The grounds around the temple are large, forested, and mostly untouched by those in the Circle, as far as I understand it.
In the future, if you’re still interested, let’s make it a point to explore.

[ Especially since 9S has been doing a lot of the same. ]
It's more like... You've been around humans a lot, right? I still feel like I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about a sick person.

Do we really have to rely on her for that?

[A question replied with a question. A bad habit (a good habit?) of an interrogator, subroutines that he can't quite ignore.]

But I believe she is truly trying to help. And her power seems far more potent than anything we can manage — what choices are left for us?

[This is assuredly a Great Idea.]

[ His tone perks up. ]
I mean, that'd be great. It gets boring going out and doing all that by yourself, so maybe a little company would help after all.

[This is a good plan where nothing can go wrong.]

[Holding him to it, he means. He's definitely not going to forget, this filed away under "pending investigations" in his mind.]
A second set of eyes won't do any harm, anyway. I'll look forward to it, once circumstances calm down.
